Rivet nuts, also known as blind threaded inserts, nutserts or rivnuts, are used to create reusable internal threads in thin sheet metal, tubes, enclosures and other structures where access is available from only one side. They are installed like blind rivets and clamp the panel to provide a threaded fixing point for screws or bolts.
