How to Request a Fast Quote for Custom Fasteners and Machined Parts
RFQ checklist for fast quotes: drawings, sizes, material, finish, tolerances, quantity breaks, packaging, certificates and delivery terms. Copy-paste template inside.
A clear RFQ eliminates back-and-forth and shortens lead time. Here’s a simple checklist our engineering team uses to quote fast and accurately.
Technical specification
• Drawing or clear sketch with units and tolerances
• Material grade (e.g., carbon steel, A2/304, A4/316) and heat treatment if any
• Surface finish and thickness (e.g., zinc 8–12 μm; black oxide + oil; nickel)
• Thread details (pitch or TPI, class), hardness or strength class if required
• Critical dimensions and inspection points
Quantity and delivery
Trial/sample quantity + production quantity (or quantity breaks) - Required lead time or target delivery window - Destination (country/city) and trade terms (EXW/FOB/CIF/DDP)
Quality & documentation
Certificates needed: material, RoHS/REACH, PPAP, dimensional report - Special packaging: small kits, private labels, corrosion protection - Any testing or functional checks required
